Program Leaders
Regional Training Office
The Northern Virginia Falls Prevention Regional Training Office (RTO) was created in August 2016 to provide ongoing training and support for leaders of evidence-based fall prevention programs across Northern Virginia. The RTO schedules training workshops for Matter of Balance (MOB), Stay Active and Independent for Life (SAIL), and provides access for online OTAGO training. Additionally, the RTO serves as a resource for trained leaders in the region by assisting in a number of ways including:
 Mentorship
Annual update workshops
Resource for questions
Master trainer visits
Support with participant recruitment and publicity of programs.

The RTO is housed within the Center for Optimal Aging at Marymount University.
Mission
The RTO seeks to improve the lives of older adults by preparing and supporting individuals to be excellent leaders and coaches of evidence-based falls prevention programs. Through ongoing training and support, the RTO can ensure that there is an adequate workforce capacity to ensure the availability of evidence-based fall prevention programs that reduce falls risk and improve the quality of life for older adults in northern Virginia.
