SAIL Leader Training
The SAIL Program Leader Training is a six-hour workshop that includes a detailed overview of the SAIL Program and each of its components, which prepares participants to deliver SAIL in their organization or community. Additionally, participants learn how to assess a potential site and the equipment needed for offering a SAIL class. Upon completing the workshop, participants will receive updates on SAIL resources and training booster sessions.
What Does the SAIL Leader Training Entail?

The 6-hour SAIL Program Leader Training, taught by SAIL Master Trainers, prepares leaders to deliver a SAIL exercise program in their organization or community.

The training includes an overview of the aging process and the requirements/components of the SAIL program.

Each participant will receive a spiral-bound training manual and a SAIL exercise guide.

The training consists of a lecture, participation in the SAIL exercises, and how to conduct the required fitness checks.

After completion of the training, SAIL Leaders will receive access to a password-protected page of the electronic forms and information needed to implement SAIL.

Leaders will have ongoing access to Master Trainers who can answer questions and provide guidance.

Additionally, leaders become part of the RTO support network and benefit from a quarterly Leaders Loop newsletter and free attendance at SAIL annual updates.
Who Can Attend this Training?
The SAIL Program Leader Training is intended for individuals who are available to deliver a SAIL program at their organization or in their community. It is open to anyone with a desire to work with older adults.
