What is the SAIL Leader Training Like?
The SAIL Program Leader Training workshop is completed in one 5-hour workshop. The training workshop provides an overview of the SAIL Program and prepares participants to deliver a SAIL Program in their organization or community. Additionally, participants of the training workshop will have the opportunity to participate in a live demonstration of the SAIL fitness class and learn to complete “fitness check evaluations” that coincide with the SAIL class. Upon completing the workshop, participants will be part of the regional database of SAIL leaders and receive updates on SAIL resources and training booster sessions.
Who Can Attend this Training?
The SAIL Program Leader training is intended for individuals who plan to deliver a SAIL program at their organization or in their community. It is open to all who have a passion for exercise and desire to work with older adults, including organization staff and volunteers. Although it is not necessary, fitness and exercise experience is helpful.
